Facade

A late night breeze as I’m sitting here. Thinking of you. Again.
These thoughts trail around my mind, like restless creatures.
Caving in.

Your silhouette hangs heavy, in a heart that knows no peace
So while your piercing silence may draw a line, I’ll politely make a crease

I can’t condone your past, like you can’t control my heart.
Your twisted games of touch and go, was what tore this all apart.
Cursed by a low number, had forbade me to see the truth
Painting fantasy over reality, but this was nothing new.

Coating lies with the purest colors, could put any mind at ease
But it won’t fix the broken pieces, the ones I buried underneath.

So let me elegantly expose the man, behind this fraudulent façade
His pleasing face may charm a crowd, but his words should be outlawed.
